The engineering faculty, well atleast as seen through the website, doesn't seem that good.īeing the engineering faculty, they probably haven't bothered to update their website properly. Some areas, such as accounting, tend to have more international students.

#UBAR MACQUARIE UNI PLUS#
There's plenty of weekly events on campus, plus if you join any clubs or societies they should have regular events too.Īnd like what ethnicities are common over thereĪs with most of Sydney, it's predominantly white and Asian. Some courses, such as Ancient History and Actuarial Studies are highly regarded. Generally UNSW and usyd are considered "top", followed by UTS and Macquarie. How does it stack up to UNSW, Syd and UTS. However all that being said its location in the CBD is the best I guess out of all the Universities and it obvious closeness to all forms of public transport.ĭisregarding UNSW/USYD, if it came to MQ and UTS I would say go to the one closest and easiest to get to. Lot of the UTS buildings especially the Engineering and Business ones are quite modern and stylish compared in comparison to the other Universities even MQ however UTS's library is crap in comparison to MQs. UTS doesn't have a campus fell due to its buildings which are like sky scrapers and spread out across the CBD, like there isn't one central location such as a quad where everyone can easily hang out and chill. Btw MQ lacks a Engineering focus in terms of the usual Engo fields like Civil, Mechanical, etc.

Don't forget that MQ Library is humongous and simply the most modern and sophisticated out there with its large study areas and its classy interior + exterior, also quiet as hell. The MQ campus is nice with its large open areas and spreadout buildings plus its location which is within walking distance to the mall, station and bus stops.

I have set foot on all the Universities except for UWS, so I don't know a lot about the campus and the feel over there. However the teaching and quality is all the same across all Universities. According to the consensus of most people on this forum and outsiders UNSW and USYD enjoys a much better reputation amongst employers and also the students I assume are more hard working and dedicated due to the higher ATAR requirements.
